Title: Responding to Workplace Violence and Harassment Reports

Date: March 24th 7pm to 8pm

Summary: Staff safety is an important responsibility for everyone. Unfortunately, workplace violence and harassment (WVH) is relatively common in across healthcare settings. The ways in which leaders respond to these staff experiences has a substantial effect on how psychologically safe staff feel and on the strength of the workplace safety culture. Presenters will share recent research findings related to approaches used by RPN leaders in responding to workplace violence and harassment and the types of support that staff experience. Through breakout sessions, the attendees will explore enablers and barriers to enacting the types of best-practice supportive responses which foster trust and strengthen safety culture within teams.
