The Bridging Educational Grant in Nursing (BEGIN) program assists PSWs and RPNs in investing in their futures. BEGIN provides tuition grants to students enrolled in PSW-RPN and RPN-RN programs, reducing the financial barriers for them to expand their nursing careers.

Each year, WeRPN offers a number of educational bursaries valued at $1,000 each to practical nursing students in first or second year across Ontario. The application deadline is October 31st.

In addition, RPNs may apply for the Nurse Innovator Award – Nurses with new and original ideas and methods can find financial support and mentorship to create the changes they imagine.
Canadian Nurses Foundation
The Canadian Nurses Foundation provides scholarships for nursing students across Canada. These scholarships are awarded based on merit and range from $750 to $10,000. The Canadian Nurses Foundation also provides full reimbursements for CNA nursing specialty certification and renewal exams. Successful completion of the exam must be completed within the year of application.
