Over the past decade, we have focused our research activities on work that demonstrates the value impact of the RPNs in our health system, promotes role optimization and role clarity and examines ways to improve patient and resident outcomes in health sectors across Ontario.
While we’ve seen progress in recent years, strategically we want to see a more robust body of evidence about the role of the RPN. To support the creation of a broader body of knowledge we are:
- Leading the development of research that demonstrates the impact of RPNs on the health system;
- Influencing the broader research and nursing community to encourage better representation of RPNs in research;
- Disseminating RPN related research more broadly with members and the health community.
