Feb 22 @ 7pm. Decision-making about driving and the transition to non-driving is a challenging and complex issue affecting drivers with dementia and their families. Healthcare/service providers play an important role in facilitating and supporting drivers and their families to make this transition. In this webinar, Drs. Gary Naglie and Mark Rapoport who lead a team of CCNA researchers focused on dementia and driving, will discuss how healthcare/service providers can address the issue of driving in persons with dementia. They will describe the development and evaluation of the Driving and Dementia Roadmap (DDR - www.drivinganddementia.ca) - a newly developed online educational resource - and demonstrate how to use the DDR to guide people with dementia, family/friend carers and healthcare/service providers through this process.
